Welcome to my webpage!

I am HIRAMATSU Masaaki, an astronomer at Public Relations Center, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ). I'm a member of NAOJ Spectrum Management Office and working hard for safeguarding DARK AND QUIET SKY.

My original background is radio astronomy. I have studied formation of low-mass stars in star forming regions including Chamaeleon, Perseus, Lupus, and Ophiuchus. Main topic of my research is the origin of stellar masses, small-scale cluster formation, and interactions between protostellar outflows and surrounding cores and envelopes.
